Lionel Joseph Breaux, 79, a native of Raceland, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, July 9.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel Ann Fayette Breaux; son, Blaine J. Breaux of Scott, La.; brother, Calvin and wife Doris Babin Breaux; sisters, Rosemary LeBlanc and Joan Brassette; grandchildren, Bradley and Douglas Breaux and Callie Blalock; and great-grandchildren, Elise and Alexander Blalock.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmo J. and Bridget Guillot Breaux; brother, Leroy Breaux; and great-granddaughter, Layla Breaux.

He was a veteran of World War II, and belonged to the Woodmen of the World and Sportsmans League. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Church.

He was buried at St. Francis II Cemetery.
