Lionel Smith, 47, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Sept. 10.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Smith; two sons, Sanya and Cyron Nelson of Houma; three daughters, Areane, Shi and Chelsie Smith, all of Houma; two brothers, Louis Smith Sr. and Edward Smith Sr. of Houma; and one sister, Iona S. Jupiter of Houma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lenward Smith Sr. and Margaret F. Smith; and three brothers, Lenward Smith Jr., Joseph Smith Sr. and Carl Smith.
He was employed as a cement finisher with SGM Construction.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Community Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Southdown Cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
