Lipton J. “Balone” Vizier, 83, a native and resident of Larose, La., died at 5:34 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2011.
Mr. Vizier was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church.
He is survived by his sons, Kurt and Ty Vizier; daughter, Marlene (Farrel) Folse; sisters, Clara Collins and Isabelle Pitre; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Earline Vizier; parents, Alces and Edmae Vizier; sons, Lipton Jr. and David Vizier; daughter, Deborah Vizier; brothers, Nootzie and Whitney Vizier; and sister, Avadae Visier.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
