Lloyd “Ricky” Richell Evans, 53, a native of Terrebonne, La., and a resident of Gray, La., died Thursday, June 4, at 5:30 p.m.

He is survived by his mother, Ellastine Evans Williams of Thibodaux, La.; sons, Lloyd Evans Jr. of Houma, La., and Rickey Evans of New Orleans, La.; daughters, Rachel Nicole Evans of Houma and Betty Mitchell of Houma; brother, Daniel Antoine Jiles; sisters, Olidia Evans of Gray, Donna Lee, Felesia Jiles of Gray, and Doretta Ann Fitney and Gaynell Bergeron of New Orleans; and six grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his father, Welton Bergeron Sr.; son, Anthony Quinn Mitchell; brothers, Welton Bergeron Jr., Hilton Bergeron and E. Alton Bergeron; and grandparents, James Robert Evans Sr. and Beola Wright Evans.

He was Baptist, a U.S. Army veteran and a printer for Star Printing Co.

The funeral service was Tuesday, June 9, with burial at Halfway Cemetery in Gray.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
