Lloyd Thomas Loftus, 89, a native of Plattenville and resident of Houma, died at 12:27 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2007.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Prayer service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.


He is survived by two nieces, Patricia Miller and Tina Hebert; and one nephew, Danny Loftus.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of more than 57 years, Johnnie Louise Davis Loftus; his parents, William Thomas Loftus and Lillie Marie Aucoin Loftus; and one brother, Emmett J. Loftus.

He was a retired tool pusher with Texaco for many years, a member of the Knights of Columbus and loved gardening.

He was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church.
