Lola Desselle Morello

Lola “MawMaw” Desselle Morello, 88, a native of Bordelonville, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died May 15, 2010, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, La.

Mrs. Morello was a homemaker who loved to cook, work in her flowerbeds and Cajun dance.

She is survived by sons, Lawrence and Jake Jr.; sister, Mamie Lea Coco; brother, James Desselle; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, May 26, at Chauvin Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at 1:15 p.m., and a memorial service, led by the Rev. Domingo Cruz, will be held at 2 p.m.

She will be buried at St. Francis de Sales No. 2 Mausoleum in Houma.
