Lorena B. Cheramie, 87, a native of Delta Farms and a resident of Golden Meadow, La., died at 2:34 a.m. Tuesday, September 30.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Joseph “Joe” Cheramie; one son, Arnold Dupre and wife Lou Ann; one stepson, Tony Cheramie and wife Penny; one daughter, Joyce Gisclair and husband Victor; one stepdaughter, Pam St. Pierre and husband Rickey; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emile and Josephine Barrios; one brother, Calemire Barrios; and three sisters, Mary Richoux, Angest Dupre and Amey Duet.
She was retired and a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.
She was buried at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano, La.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
