Sheriff’s ranges give public a new target
March 11, 2010Loretta “Mom” Sneed, 95, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, March 1, 2010.
Mrs. Sneed was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. She was also a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, James (Carolyn) Sneed Jr. of Gray; daughter, Jewel (Joseph) Wilson of Gray; brother, Clarence (Gloria) Lagarde of Thibodaux; sister, Pinkey Patterson of Gibson; and 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sneed Sr.; parents, Henry and Rose Anne Williams Lagarde; brothers, Othello and Ulysesses Lagarde; and sisters, Verna Patterson, Geraldine Streams and Ruth Rainey.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, at Mount Olive Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at noon Saturday at the church.
She will be buried at Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
