Louis Everett Talbot, 85, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, April 6.


He is survived by his wife, Mary Kline Talbot; son, John E. Talbot and wife Pat; daughters, Denise T. Champagne and husband Jason M., and Theresa R. Talbot; sisters: Alma Deligans and husband Jean, Willie Lou Chilton, Vivian Marie Bartlett and husband Tom, and Janet Marie Green; grandchildren, Tiffany T. Gaylor and husband Jim, Tara T. Hull and husband James, Trent E. Talbot and wife Marcie, Wade Savoy Jr. and wife Angie, Bridget M. Champagne, Holly R. Cernich and husband Timmy, George L. Osborne and wife Heather, and Paul M. Osborne; and great-grandchildren, Christina R. Cernich, Madeline S. Cernich, Trent D. LeBoeuf, Mason P. Savoy, Tanner P. Savoy, Cole E. Talbot, Cash E. Talbot, Amber M. Osborne, Cole L. Osborne, Ethan J. Osborne, Kyle Osborne, Drew Robertson, Bradley Robertson and Bailey Robertson


He was preceded in death by his parents, Everette Louis Talbot Sr. and Alma Folse Talbot; brothers, Everette Louis Talbot Jr., Carrol Francis Talbot, Richard Edward Talbot and Douglass Samuel Talbot; and sisters, Verna Mae Heck and Edith Marie Denson.

He was president of Delta Mud and Delta Services Industries. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, at St. Francis de Sales. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church with burial at St. Francis #2 Cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
