Louis Julian Riche III, 76, a native of Napoleonville, La., and resident of Montegut, La., died Monday, Aug. 29, 2011.
Mr. Riche loved life and the little things in it. His passion was caring for his family and he took great joy in spending time with his four grandchildren. He served as a notary and Justice of the Peace for many years and enjoyed the people he met and the stories they shared. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gayle Riche; sons, Gerard and Niles (Ashley) Riche; grandchildren, Taylor, Jackson, Ayden and Hudson Riche.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis II and Flore Riche.
Visitation will be 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011 and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Chauvin)
