Louis “Cookie” P. Griffin Sr., 84, a native of Leeville, La., and resident of Golden Meadow, La., died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014.


Mr. Griffin loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed fishing, hunting and dancing. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and a member of the Altar Society and Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the Texaco Retirees Club and Friends of Special Citizens.

He is survived by his children, Louis Jr. (Patsy) and Curment (Mona), Dean (Holly) and Ernie (Chantel) Griffin, Edwanna (John) Kieff and Maureen (Peter) Pagliughi; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dudline Griffin; parents, Joseph and Adrienne Griffin; brothers, Adam, Webb, Forrest, Leander, Daniel Sr. and William Griffin; sisters, Eva Doucet, Mandy Cheramie and Josephine Griffin; and one grandchild.


Burial is at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church Cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
