Louis Smith, 71, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011.
He is survived by his wife, Melvina Smith; daughters, Tonia, Jenine and Tyra Smith; sons, Allen Sr. (Reva) and Louis (Marisol) Smith and Jalen Johnson; sister, Iona (Jerome) Jupiter; and brother, Edward Sr. (Barbara) Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Linward Sr. and Margaret Smith; brothers, Linward Jr., Joseph Sr., Carl and Lionel Smith; grandparents, Arthur Sr. and Daisy Smith and Joseph and Margaret Fritz; and grandson, Quincy Smith.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14 at Community Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Union Benevolent Cemetery. (Community)
