Louise Z. Stevens, 91, a native of St. Charles Community, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, November 6.


She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Rodrigue and Joel Quatrevingt; six sisters, Gladys Bilello, Jeanne Luquette, Earline Pitre, Rita Pertuit, Laura Dominique and Clarabelle Matherne; six grandchildren, Phyllis Q. Dufrene and husband Rogers, Bertha Q. Duet and husband Tommy, Dedrie “Deedy” Q. Comeaux and husband Glynn, Timothy Rodrigue and wife Darlene, Todd Rodrigue and wife Kelly, and Stephanie R. Teague and husband Mark; eight great-grandchildren, Nicholas Aysen and wife Jessica, Kylie Duet, Cody Duet, Trey Rodrigue, Madison Rodrigue, Taylor Rodrigue, Ty Rodrigue and Typhanie Teague; and one great-grandchild, Cameron Aysen.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Harris L. Stevens; her parents, Raoul Zeringue and Lucia Hebert Zeringue; six brothers, Camille, Clifton, Dennis, Thompson, Blaise and Malcolm Zeringue; and two sons-in-law, Typhy J. Rodrigue Jr. and Jules Quatrevingt.

She was a cook for Lafourche Parish Schools for 17 years. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends.

She was buried at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral Cemetery.

Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
