Loumenty Scott Allen, 64, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Tuesday, June 28, 2011.
Mrs. Allen was Baptist and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 513 in Thibodaux.
She is survived by her husband, George Allen Sr.; daughter, LaShawn (Eric Sr.) Thompson; mother, Beatrice Howard; sisters, Priscilla and Tammy Scott; brothers, James Howard and Raymond, Clarence, Lynwood, Rev. John, Milton, Henry, William, Isaac, Joseph and Rhubin Scott; stepchildren George Jr. and Maxine Allen, Brenda Alexis, Catherine Carter and Donna Seibles; 17 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Webster Adams; brother, Philip Scott; sisters, Emily Scott, Rosie Livas and Rementer Frey; and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 2, at Sun Light Baptist Church in Houma, La., with a religious service to follow. (Kennedy)
