Mandated therapy may better serve divorcing couples, counselor says

Luella Verret Nicol, 88, a native of New Iberia, LA. and a native of Golden Meadow, LA., died at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2007.


Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m., in which mass will take place, Thursday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery in Cut Off, LA.


She is survived by one daughter, Diana Nicol Robichaux; 4 grandchildren, Luke LeBlanc and wife, Wendy, Gunny LeBlanc and wife, Jennifer, Danny Robichaux, Schaffer Robichaux and wife, Kristin, and 2 great grandchildren, Savannah LeBlanc and Brittany LeBlanc.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Schaffer Kilren Nicol; her parents, Armance and Lottie Babb Verret; one infant grandchild, Diana Nicol Robichaux, and three brothers, Willie, Edmond, and Leroy Verret.

She was a parishoner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.

She was an avid seamstress and cook, and she enjoyed boating and camping.

Samart Funeral Home will be charge of the arrangements.
