September 4, 2013Lufra Joseph Trahan, 101, a native of Bayou Black, La., died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013.
Mr. Trahan graduated from LSU with a degree in chemical engineering 1934. He was a veteran of World War II and lived and worked in Mobile, Ala., for more than 50 years. He experienced 37,099 sunrises and sunsets.
He is survived by his daughter, Pamela (Stanley) Mong; grandchildren, Michael (Kristi) and Brandon Mong; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lynn Trahan; second wife, Hazel Trahan; parents; and siblings. (Hargrave)
