Lula Rita Marcel Bourg, 84, a native of Bayou Blue, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Friday, Feb. 22, at 8:55 a.m.
She is survived by her sons, Loren R. Bourg Jr. of Houma, Joseph Charles Bourg of Redding, Ca., and Timothy Anthony Bourg of Houma; daughter, Maris Cecilia Bratcher of Murphysburrough, Tn.; brother, Henry Marcel; sisters, Louise Trosclair, Lucy Michel and Viola Dugas; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren Bourg Sr.; her parents, Henry Alexander Marcel and Laura Porche Marcel; and sisters, Lizzie Authement, Bessie Hebert, Leonise Domangue and Susanna Crochet.
She was a homemaker.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27 at Chauvin Funeral Home. A religious service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
