Sheriff’s ranges give public a new target

Lynda Maye DeVincent, 64, a native of Galveston, Texas, and resident of Thibodaux, La., died at home at 5:35 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010, after battling cancer.


Mrs. DeVincent was a sales associate at Stage Department Store. She enjoyed gardening and playing bingo.

She is survived by her son, Raymond DeVincent of Thibodaux; daughter, Amy (Jack) Bridges of Thibodaux; sisters, Mary McCann and Norma Burke; and six grandchildren, Jackson, Ryan, Christian, Katherine, Collin and Kyle.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles DeVincent; and her parents, George and Evelyn Jarrett Pawliski.

The family thanks Drs. Stephen Harris, John Milek and Jody Plaisance and the nursing staff at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center and St. Joseph Hospice.

She is buried at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Landry’s Funeral Home of Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
