Mabel Champagne Schaubhut, 88, a native of Boutte, La., and resident of Des Allemands, La., died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011.
She is survived by her sons, Steven (Beverly), Edward “Jimmy” (Doris), Barry and Brian (Clair) Schaubhut; daughters, Sue (Wayne) Champagne and Margo (Russell) Tastet; sister, Mildred Laque; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldridge “Mickey” Schaubhut; parents, James and Alice Lirette Champagne; three brothers, Clarence, Wilbert and Milton Champagne; and one sister, Mildred Laque.
She is interred at St. Gertrude Catholic Church Mausoleum.
