Mabel Voisin Champagne, 94, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, La., died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 21.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Champagne and wife, Barbara, of Lafayette, La., Larry Champagne and wife, Bonnie, of Thibodaux, La., and Stephen Champagne and wife, Suzanne, of New Orleans, La.; daughters, Juliette Henry and husband, Willis, Gloria Authement and husband, Larry, of Houma and Kathleen LeBlanc and husband, Wayne, of Thibodaux; son-in-law, Murphy Breaux of Houma; brother, Wilson Voisin Sr. of Dularge, La.; 25 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her former husband, Lawrence J. Champagne; her parents, Leonce A. Voisin and Pauline LeBouef Voisin; daughter, Melva Breaux; brothers, Albert, Calvin, Eustis, James, Norris and Julius Voisin; and two sisters, Vivian LaCoste and Eva R. Voisin.

She was a homemaker, a former member of Republic Women’s Organization, Homemakers Club and Ladies Altar Society. She was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church.

She was buried at Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
