Mable Davis Johnson, 86, a native of Thibodaux, La., and resident of Marrero, La., died Monday, March 7, 2011.


Mrs. Johnson was a retiree of Heritage Manor in Marrero.


She is survived by her son, Nolan (Marilynn) Johnson; daughters, Bernadette (Johnny) Robinson and Janice (Clarence) Landix; two godchildren, Wanda Jackson and Terri Lynn Lewis; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and devoted friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Johnson; parents, Arthur and Ellen Southall Davis; three brothers, Freddie, Arthur Jr., and Oliver Davis; one sister, Edwina Thomas; one son, Donald Johnson; and one great-grandson, Jarrell James Frank.

She is buried at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Methodist Church Cemetery. (Davis Mortuary)
