‘8 Seconds to Glory’

November 8, 2011Mack J. Cheramie, 79, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and resident of Cut Off, La., died at 6:14 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011.
Mr. Cheramie was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Edith Cheramie; sons, Wayne and Jody Cheramie; daughters, Cindy Heseltine and Dina Cheramie; brothers, Irvan and Edison Cheramie; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hick and Cherifa Cheramie; daughter, Cathy Raines; brothers, Kirby, Odeno, Hick Jr. and Victor Cheramie; sister, Earline Borne; and great-grandchild, Aiden Rios.
Burial will be at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. (Samart-Mothe)
