Mae Degruise Waguespack, 93, a native of Raceland, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Monday, July 13, at 8:17 a.m.


She is survived by three daughters, Mary W. Weimer of Morgan City, La., Evelyn W. Dupuy of Luling, La., and Janet W. Owens of Luling; one brother, Wilfred Degruise; one sister, Joyce D. Plaisance; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Harris A. Waguespack Jr.; parents, Adonis and Josephine Baye Degruise; one brother, Sidney Degruise; and one sister, Mildred D. Rodriguez.

She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 16, at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport, La., and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday, July 17, at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church with burial at the church cemetery.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
