Malcolm J. “Mac” Lagarde, 57, a native and resident of St. Charles Community, La., died Sunday, July 26, at 4:47 p.m.
He is survived by his father, Edwin “Slick” Lagarde Jr.; son, Malcolm J. “Mac” Lagarde Jr. and wife Monica; three daughters, Sara Lagarde, Annadell Dantin and husband Keith, and Paula Lagarde; five brothers, Dooley Lagarde, Keith Lagarde, John Lagarde, Jason Lagarde and Jack Lagarde; three sisters, Joann Bergeron, Jennifer Constant and Jill Thibodaux; seven grandchildren, Helen Foret, Savannah Foret, Wayne Morvant Jr., Dillion Dantin, Devin Dantin, Tyler Mac Lagarde and Trevor Mac Lagarde; and one great-grandchild, Anna-Claire Marie Smith.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Annadell Benoit Lagarde; one daughter, Amy Celeste Lagarde; and grandparents, Edwin Sr. and Ethel Lagarde, and Clifton and Gladys Benoit.
He was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. He was retired and enjoyed watching sports and playing cards.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
