Malvina White Collins, 91, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died Friday, May 16, at 11:52 p.m.
She is survived by her son, Emile Collins Jr. and wife Stephanie; daughters, Emelda Trahan and husband John Jr., and Mary Lynn Poole and husband Gary; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emile Collins Sr.; parents, Joe Sr. and Octavia Lapeyrouse White; daughter, Evelina ” Evelyn” Thibodeaux; brothers, Nicholas, Dennis, Linton Sr., Clancy and Joe Jr. White; and sisters, Louise White, Loisy White, Millie Portier, Velina Blanchard and Leve Martin Gautreaux.
Visitation will by 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, May 19, and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, at the KC Hall in Chauvin. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She will be buried at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
