January 30, 2012Margaret Gorman Rappmundt, 83, a native and resident of Morgan City, La., died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012.
Mrs. Rappmundt was the owner and operator of Whit-Mar Fashions for nearly 25 years. She had a love of genealogy and city and parish history and along with Alvin Brizzard, they published books about the history of Morgan City and St. Mary Parish.
She is survived by her son, Paul (Teresa) Rappmundt; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Susan Gorman; husband, Paul Rappmundt; five brothers; and one sister.
Burial was at Morgan City Cemetery. (Twin City)
