Maria Ann Pontiff, 85, a native of Chauvin and a resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015.
Mrs. Pontiff left a great legacy of the Cajun culinary arts. She thoroughly enjoyed traveling with her husband, and was an avid bowler, bowling in tournaments all over the United States. She was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children, Kerry (Elaine) and James (Paula) Pontiff; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Dallas Duplantis.
Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
