Marian K. Champagne, 96, a native of High Point, N.C., and longtime resident of Houma, La., died on Monday, March 14, 2016.


Mrs. Champagne worked at Wright Aeronautical Corp. in Ohio after college. She served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1943-46, and married the following year. The Champagnes relocated to Houma, where she lived until 2010 when she moved to the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home in Jennings, La. She enjoyed flower gardening, baking and music.

She is survived by children, Carol Percy, Barry (Debra) and Carl (Kayla) Champagne; five grandsons; one great-grandson; and brother, John (Loretta) King Jr.

Burial is at Magnolia Cemetery
