Marie B. Richard, 92, a native of Labadieville, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Monday, Aug. 24.
She is survived by one daughter, Lou Ann Hebert and husband Boyd; five grandchildren, Valerie Halbrook and husband Tim, Rebecca Guillot, Boyd Hebert Jr. and wife Sylvia, Chris Hebert and wife Anna, and Mary Hebert; seven great-grandchildren, Boyd C. Hebert III, Geoffrey Hebert, Melissa Hebert, Jacob Hebert, Emily Hebert, Kylie Chenier and Katie Chenier; one great-great-grandson, Boyd C. Hebert IV; two sisters-in-law, Naomie Moore and Emelda Richard; and one brother-in-law, Elliot Landry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Abbie A. Richard; parents, Charles and Cecilia Medus Boudreaux; one daughter, Gail M. Guillot; three brothers, Ned Boudreaux, Charles Boudreaux and wife Peggy, and Medus Boudreaux; four sisters, Mae Guidry, Beatrice Gautreaux, Jeanne LeBlanc and Olla Carmouche; and one grandson, Joey A. Hebert.
The family would like to thank Nancy Mars, a special friend and caretaker of Mrs. Richard.
Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux with mass to follow. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
