Marie “Grum” Hartman Hebert, 93, a native of Lockport, La., and a resident of Larose, La., died at 1 a.m. Wednesday, October 8.


She is survived by one son, Linton Hebert and wife Beverly; one daughter, Gloria H. Pitre and husband Anatole “Scat”; two brothers, Joseph Hartman and Bud Hartman; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hebert Sr.; her parents, Joseph Hartman Sr. and Bertha Allemand Hartman; two sons, Weisney “Red” Hebert and Edward Hebert Jr.; two brothers, Louis Hartman and Fortuna Hartman; and two sisters, Rita Walker and Henerita Ledet.

She was a cook at L.C.O. School and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, October 10, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose with mass to follow. She will be buried at the church cemetery.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
