Marilyn Jean Fanguy Babin, 74, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Denham Springs, La., died at 7:45 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011.


Mrs. Babin was a homemaker and parishioner of Brightside Catholic Church for the Deaf.

She is survived by her son, Anthony “Tony” (Paul Autin) Babin; daughter, Susan (Archie) Duet; three grandchildren, Andrew Paul Duet, Jessica Marie Duet Martin and Jeremy Michael Duet; and family members, Sherill and Doug Benoit, Barbra and Robert Klingman, and Joy and Bob Strada.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Babin; parents, Paul and Blanche Savoie Fanguy; her in-laws, David and Lucille Rhodes Babin; and two infant sons.

She is buried at Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
