Marilyn Brister Bergeron, 70, a native of Ferriday and resident of Bayou Blue, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at 10:30pm.

She is survived by four sons, John J. Bergeron and his wife Jeanette, Keith J. Bergeron and his wife Natalie, Terry L. Bergeron, and Charles B. Bergeron and his wife Danna; one daughter, Jenny B. Reading and her husband Chuck; two brothers, Rupert and Donald Brister; six grandchildren, Vallerie Henning, Jeffrey Bergeron, Bridgette Matherne, Patrick Reading, Katie Bergeron and Joshua Bennett; four great-grandchildren, John Paul, Emelie, Chandler and Ariana; three step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred J. Bergeron; her parents, Earl Smith Brister and Edna Scarbrough Brister; and one brother, Ronald Brister.

Marilyn was a retired dispatcher for Terrebonne and Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Offices.

She is buried at Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
