Marion Pace Doggett, 74, a native of Laurel, Ms., and a resident of Houma, La., was called to walk in the footsteps of the Lord at 8:45 p.m. Saturday, September 27.
She will be missed by two daughters, Tarra Lynn Pitre and husband Dennis of Lockport, La., and Ronda Kaye Porche and husband Rickey of Houma; one son-in-law, Jerry Duplantis of Houma; one brother, Marvin Pace of Fairhope, Al.; brother-in-law, Gavin McLemore of Meridian, Ms.; four grandchildren, Corey, Casey, Jennifer and Brittany all of Houma; and numerous nieces and nephews but was especially close to Tomorrow and Billy, both of Houma.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Doyle Hayes Doggett; one sister, Katherine McLemore; and her parents, Marvin Pace and Pauline Blackledge Pace.
She was a homemaker that tended to the needs of her family until she was called home. She was a loving wife, caring mother and giving grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family, for we all love her very much. May she be in our hearts and memories from this day forward.
She was buried at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
