Marizetta “Missy” Bolden Picou, 43, a native of Houma, La., and resident of New Orleans, La., died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010.


Mrs. Picou was a member of City of Love Church in New Orleans. She was a receptionist with LSU Health Science Center.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin Picou; parents, Earl Sr. and Elsie Bolden; daughters, Niayonda Picou-Bowens, Jamisha and Tenitra Picou; brothers, Earl Jr., Cornel, Keith Sr. and Mark Bolden; sister, Renee Bolden; and one grandchild.


She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Chester and Alberta Bolden, and Harry and Pearl B. Trosclair.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at Beacon Light Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.

She will be buried at Bisland Cemetery in Bourg, La.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
