Marjorie Pellegrin Authement, 90, a native of Chauvin, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, May 22, 2013.
Mrs. Authement was a devoted wife and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, bird watching, crossword puzzles and art. She held a deep appreciation for education and children. She was a former member of Catholic Daughters, Terrebonne Garden Club, VFW Auxiliary, Lioness Club, St. Ann Altar Society and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
She is survived by her son, Keith (Phyllis) Authement; daughters, Cynthia (Raleigh) Thibodeaux and Jeffie (Ricky) Murphy; six grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey Authement; parents, Felix Pellegrin and Clavia Robichaux; sisters, Theresa Hebert, Eta Dupre’ and Inez Daye; and brother, Modris Pellegrin.
Visitation will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Interment will be at the church cemetery. (Samart)
