Mark Duce Catchings, 81, a native of Hardin, Texas, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010.
Mr. Cathcings served in the U.S. Army. He was famous for his sense of humor and the Lord and his family were the most important things in his life. He retired from Exxon in 1986, where he worked for 25 years off Grand Isle in oil production. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Catchings; son, Mike (Donna) Catchings; daughters, Mitzi (David) Rogers and Marita (John Wistl) LeCompte; five grandchildren, Jason (Jessica) Catchings, Jodi (Travis) Willoughby, Tiffany (Jason) Eschete, Jana (Cliff) Breazeale and Eva (Mark) Lowe; eight great-grandchildren, Michael Willoughby, Matthew Catchings, Megan Catchings, Dallas Eschete, Connor Eschete, Skyler Smith, Joseph Lowe and Jordan Lowe; and brother, Gus Catchings.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity or church of your choice.
