Marlene Plaisance Lutz, 57, a native of Larose, La., and a resident of New Orleans, La., died at 4:02 p.m. Tuesday, July 8.


She is survived by her husband, James “Jimmy” Lutz; her mother, Nolina P. Plaisance; two sons, Eric and Jonathon Lutz; two brothers, Ronald and Bobby Plaisance; three sisters, Kathy Doucet and husband, Dayton, Linda Hogue and husband, Frank, and Debbie Duet and husband, Parrison Jr.; four nieces, Natashia Randazzo, Justina Caparros, Amber Duet and Lindsay Plaisance; two nephews, Ross and Ryan Hogue; and two great-nephews, Trey Randazzo and Austin Caparros.


She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin “Tut-Tut” Plaisance; and her mother-in-law, Gertrude Lutz.

She was a great homemaker, cook and loved to bake. A much loved employee of 17 years at Children’s Hospital. She warmed the hearts of many people and will be missed by friends and family.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose with mass to follow. She will be buried at the church cemetery.

Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
