Martha Frances “Fran” Blum, 68, a native of Galveston, Texas, and resident of Baton Rouge, La., died Thursday, March 8, 2012.
Mrs. Blum taught second and fourth graders at Sacred Heart and Holy Cross Elementary. She was a very loving and caring person who loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had a special place in her heart for all animals, many of which she brought home.
She is survived by her husband, Milford Blum; children, Charlene (Dwayne) Eymard, Lisa (Terry) Smith and Jeffery (Caridad) Blum; sister, Betty Jehs; brother, Robert Rathbun; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Lucille Rathbun.
Interment was at Morgan City Mausoleum. (Twin City)
