Marty P. Hebert, 53, a native of Galliano, La., and resident of Gonzales, La., died at his home Friday, March 26, 2010.

Mr. Hebert was Catholic. He worked for Otto Candies LLC as an offshore boat captain for 32 years. His hobbies included guitars and motorcycles.


He is survived by his wife, Sharon Hebert; daughter, JoAnn (Matt) Pitre; son, Elijah Hebert; two grandchildren; stepchildren, Kristy (Larry) Hinkel, Aaron Arceneaux, Bridgett Watts and Courtney Doswell; seven step-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Hebert, Sandra Hebert, Julie (Ricky) Aucoin and Debra (Tommy) LeBlanc; brother, Nicholas Hebert; in-laws, Earl and Dale McMillan; and numerous other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge in his memory.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. today, April 7, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Golden Meadow. He will be buried at Cheramie Cemetary in Galliano.
