Marvin Givens Washington, 45, a native of Gheens, La., and a resident of Baldwin, La., died Thursday, April 24.
He is survived by his wife, Yolanda Washington of Raceland, La.; devoted companion, Victoria Welch of Baldwin; mother Ernestine Lewis and stepfather Leroy Lewis of Bakersfield Ca.; sons, Marvin Washington Jr., of Raceland and Stephan Singleton of Thibodaux, La.; brothers, Romell Washington Sr., of Raceland and Brandon Lewis of Tucker, Ga.; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Washington Sr.; Grandparents, Ernest and Earline Williams, James and Bessie Hills and Albert and Rosie Washington.
He was Baptist. He was a member of the American Sugar Cane League.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, May 2, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Raceland with a religious service to follow. He will be buried at Brooklyn Cemetery in Raceland.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
