Curtis Joseph Leblanc Sr.
June 13, 2011Marvin Joseph Blanchard, 88, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died at 12:10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011.
Mr. Blanchard honorably served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was retired from Shell Oil and the Lafourche Parish School Board and was a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus. He was a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Torres; sister, Lillie Badeau; three grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Blanchard; parents, Orland and Lucille Blanchard; brothers, Orland Jr. and Deacon Edward Blanchard; and sister, Hazel Gaudet.
