Mary Alice Spencer Allen, 75, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, April 2.
She is survived by her husband, Hayward Allen Jr.; sons, Lester Sneeze Jr. (Katherine), Bernard Sneeze Sr. (Betty), Charles Sneeze Sr. (Evelyn), Alvin Sneeze, Hayward Allen, III (Doris), Carl Allen Sr. (Bernadette) and Darren Allen Sr. (Felisha); daughters, Doris Sneeze Calloway (Charles); brother, Eless Spencer (Eva); 28 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred G. Spencer and Rosetta Coleman Spencer; sons, Michael Sneeze and Joseph Sneeze; brothers, Leroyal Spencer, Russell Spencer, Elgin Spencer and Freddie Spencer; and sisters, Genvivene Spencer Trosclair and Margie Mae Harris.
She was a member of Howard Third Zion Traveler’s Baptist Church where she served in the Pastoral Aid Club and the choir. She enjoyed cooking.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, at Howard Third Zion Travelers Baptist Church with the funeral to follow. Burial will be at Crozier Cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
