Mary Ann Overstreet, 87, a former resident of Clarksdale, Miss., and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010.
Mrs. Overstreet worked for the Coahoma County Schools for 22 years where she was a bus driver. She volunteered for many years at the North Delta Baptist Ministry Center and was a member of Cherry Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Pierce; son, Larry Overstreet; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Prentis and Geneva Parrott Campbell; her husband, James Owen Overstreet; two sons, James “Joe” Overstreet Jr. and James “Sonny” E. Jennings.
She was buried Dec. 18 in Clarksdale, Miss.
