October 6, 2011Mary Chatagnier Starliper, 72, a native of Gray, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 7:15 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2011.
Mrs. Starliper retired from AT&T Telecommunications after 38 years of service. She was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, wonderful friend and incredible cook.
She is survived by her son, Art (Theresa) Starliper; brother, Leroy Chatagnier; sisters, Jeannie Keller, Audrey Benoit and Catherine Popay; and grandchildren, Noelle and Max.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Starliper; parents, Maurice and Alice Chatagnier; brothers, Hampton, Roland, Floyd, Dave, Morris, Junius and Lawrence Chatagnier; and sister, Anna Mae Allen.
Burial was at Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery. (Chauvin)
