Mary “Grace” Callahan, 80, a native and resident of Theriot, La., died Saturday, December 20, at 1:42 A.M.
She is survived by her son, Randy Callahan and wife Marsha; daughters, Robin Callahan Kraemer and husband Timothy, April Callahan Giles and husband Gregory and Tammy Callahan Boudreaux and significant other Dwight Duplantis; brothers, Paul Chauvin and Gerald Chauvin; sisters, Sally Gautreaux and Patricia Schultz; grandchildren, Alida Young, Haley Kraemer, Becky Ponthier, Kevin Giles, Roger Kraemer, Adam Callahan, Jenny Arceneaux, Chase Callahan, Kaysie Boudreaux, and Dillon Boudreaux; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Randoloph M. Callahan; parents, Peter Paul and Susan Theriot Chauvin; and sisters, Jessie Lee Ball and Pauline Marks.
She was a member of the American Legion Lenox Hotard Post Ladies Auxiliary and an avid gardener of vegetables and flowers who grew prize tomatoes. She was a redfish angler and a devoted mother who loved her children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, at St. Eloi Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
