Mary Nell LeBlanc Fanguy, 66, a native of New Orleans, LA. and resident of Houma, LA., died at 1:35 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2007.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Elie Cemetery.


She is survived by her husband, Adley Fanguy of Houma; her mother, Olive A. Hebert LeBlanc of Houma; two daughters, Donna Marie Williams and husband, Kelly D., of Dale City, VA. and Kathy Ann Churray of Houma; three brothers, Norman LeBlanc of Tucson, Ariz., Richard LeBlanc of Phoenix and Clark LeBlanc of Prentiss, Miss.; two sisters, Rita Judith “Judy” LaBauve and Linda Matherne of Houma; and two grandchildren, Kevin Michael Churray and Marshal Ethan Williams.


She was preceded in death by her father, Nolan P. LeBlanc.

She was a retired social service worker with the state of Louisiana. She belonged to the Steel Magnolia Class of 1958 at Terrebonne High School.

She was a charter member at large with Sweet Adeline International. She also was a member of the Bayouside Chorus Houma and Jazz City Chorus Metairie. She loved to travel with friends and family, and sing and travel to Sweet Adeline events.

She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Chauvin Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
