Mary Plaisance Raney, 90, a native of Cut Off, La., and resident of Larose, La., died at 11:52 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2011.
Mrs. Raney was a Eucharistic Minister at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Paul) Bourgeois; brothers, Raymond, Norman, Gillis and Simon Plaisance; sisters, Clothilde Callais, Rose Lee and Ethel Smith; and one grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Raney Jr.; parents, Etienne and Pauline Plaisance; brothers, Eddie, Etienne and Gabriel Plaisance; and sisters, Mathilda and Albina Plaisance.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, August 1 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with services to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Falgout)
