Mary “Rosie” Bourgeois Cantrelle, 91, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Saturday, June 20, at 11:25 a.m.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald Cantrelle and wife Claudelle, James “Jimmy” Cantrelle and wife Leona, Richard Cantrelle and wife Elsie, and Phillip “Phil” Cantrelle and wife Dawn; six grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Cantrelle; parents, Allain and Adelia Bourgeois; brothers, O’Neil, Allain, Alex “Bob”, Narry, Lorille and Paul Bourgeois; and sisters, Marie Aline Blanchard, Jeanne Rebstock and Emily Ardoin.
She was a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland. She loved going to the casinos, playing cards and cooking for her family. She will be missed by all.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, at St. Mary Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
