Mathilde Antoinette Moore Howard, 92, a native of New Orleans, LA. and resident of Thibodaux, LA., died Tuesday, January 9, 2007.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Landry’s Funeral Home in Thibodaux. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral, with burial in the church cemetery.


She is survived by one son, Edward G. Howard III and wife, JoAnn B.; four daughters, Antoinette “Toni” Howard Plaisance and husband, Conrad Sr., Patricia Howard Harding, Glenda Howard Bourgeois and husband, Robert Sr., and Margaret Howard Pellegrin and husband, Richard Sr.; one sister, Betty Moore Davidson; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward G. Howard Jr.; her parents, Howell Maxwell Moore Sr. and Mathilde Antoinette Bailey Moore; one son-in-law, Charles Harding; three brothers, Howell Maxwell Moore Jr., John Kenton Moore Sr. and Joseph Lloyd Moore Sr.; and one sister, Beverly Moore Hanisee.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion.

Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
