Maudra Elizabeth Gautreaux Townsend, 90, a native of Gonzales, La., and resident of Larose, La., died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014.
Ms. Townsend was a beautiful, loving mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was an avid LSU and Atlanta Braves fan.
She is survived by her sons, Glenn and Garry Arnold; daughters, Adveline Hebert and Elena Verdin; sister, Edna Mae Lyons; brother, Manual Gautreaux; 10 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jules Francis and Adveline Gautreaux; husband, Alton Arnold; brothers, Allie, Felman, Sanders and Burris Gautreaux; sisters, Felma Gautreaux, Essie Landaiche, Enid Braud and Margaret Rowell; and two grandchildren.
Burial is at Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery in Gonzales. (Ourso)
